LIDO STAND IN WAY OF CUP SEMI SPOT
Saints eventually broke down Lido's defence for a 2-0 win down in Aberavon
TNS v Afan Lido
FAW Welsh Cup
Sat 5 Mar 2005: Home - Treflan

TEN days of competitive inactivity comes to an end on Saturday when Saints are back on the Welsh Cup trail with the visit of Afan Lido.
Both sides reached the last eight last term, Lido going out 2-1 at home to Rhyl who went on to defeat TNS in the final.
Despite their lowly Welsh Premier League position, the south Walians gave a good account of themselves on the opening day of the season when they lost out 2-1 to a late Nicky Ward goal.
And they showed their resolute defensive capabilities down in Aberavon, when Saints took 68 minutes to break them down with a Marc Lloyd-Williams goal, going on to win 2-0.
But, with no points at stake on Saturday, Mark Robinson's side will have to employ different tactics if they are to force a result without looking to penalties, which might just open up a few gaps for Saints to exploit.
Jimmy Aggrey, whose wife recently gave birth for the second time, will again be unavailable along with the suspended Chris Taylor, but otherwise manager Ken McKenna should have a full-strength squad at his disposal.
