TNS are planning another bid to lure Spaniard Juan Ugarte to Treflan.
Saints tried to sign the striker a few months ago when he appeared surplus to requirements at Wrexham, but Dragons' fans clubbed together to keep the non-contract player at the cash-strapped club.
Ugarte then signed for Wrexham just before they went into administration and has since scored eight goals in 10 League One games, plus seven as sub.
The former Real Sociedad frontman played for a number of second division clubs in Spain before deciding to try his luck in England, playing for Dorchester Town.
Managing director Mike Harris argues that TNS can give Ugarte Champions League football next season and adds: "We offer better financial security than Wrexham."
