TNS boss Ken McKenna has branded the Welsh Cup final venue 'a joke'
TNS manager Ken McKenna has branded the choice of Llanelli for the Welsh Cup final as "a joke".
"I'm disappointed by the decision," he said. "I went to Stebonheath Park for the semi-final two weeks ago, the pitch is poor and is not going to provide the right spectacle for a showpiece event on TV.
"I have no objection to travelling south for the final, but we really would have preferred the FAW to take the game to the Millennium Stadium and make it an occasion."
"This decision is a joke and sums up those running Welsh football," he added.
McKenna says that TNS will also have to incur the costs of an away side for the final, which is being staged 20 miles from opponents Carmarthen Town and some 120 miles from Llansantffraid.
