FORMER Everton Academy midfielder Steven Beck has decided to stay at Treflan.
Steven arrived in pre-season after a disappointing summer which saw him on the verge of quitting the professional game.
He was released by the Toffees and went to train with Wigan Athletic on the promise of permanent move.
When this fell through, he was thoroughly disillusioned, but former TNS manager Andy Cale suggested he give the game another go at Treflan.
He has impressed in his appearances, particularly when he came on at Newtown last Saturday.
Capped by England at Under-16 level, he is a valuable addition the Ken McKenna's midfield options.
He played for the Everton Under-18s in 2001/2 and was a member of the under-19 squad in 2002/3.
