Pre-season friendly
Tue 5 July 2005: Away - Shamrock Park

WITH pre-season friendlies difficult to come by at this time of the year, TNS again turn to their friends in Portadown on Tuesday night.
The squad flew out of Liverpool Airport this morning for a game against the side which finished third in last season's Daily Mirror Irish Premier League table.
Shamrock Park has already proved a happy hunting ground for the Saints in pre-season. Nicky Ward fired TNS to a 1-0 win in 2003 and Jamie Wood grabbed a hat-trick last July in a 4-0 success, Simon Davies scoring the other.
Portadown are themselves preparing for European action and a home first leg a week on Thursday against Norwegian outfit Viking Stavanger, who are managed by former Blackburn Rovers boss Roy Hodgson.
For manager Ken McKenna, this is the final opportunity to rehearse his tactics for the visit to Anfield, which almost succeeded in shutting out Glentoran on Saturday until Stevie Evans's late slip.
Skipper John Leah is an injury doubt after aggravating a knee problem.
