TNS will stand by central defender Steve Evans, after he was jailed for six months for causing actual bodily harm.
A club source told Saints-Alive! that, provided the player is fit enough, he will be considered for selection once he is released.
Evans, 24, was jailed by Wrexham magistrates last week after pleading guilty to an assault in the early hours of the morning on the first Saturday in August.
CCTV cameras had shown Evans on top of a man, repeatedly punching him in the head.
The player said he had been drinking and that his memory of the events was 'very dim'.
Before sentencing, the court heard that Evans had been jailed in 2000 for aggravated bodily harm and also had two previous convictions for being drunk and disorderly.
Steve Evans had recently returned to the side after a summer hernia operation.
