Uefa Champions League 1st Qual Round, 2nd Leg
Tue 19 July 2005: Home - Wrexham, 8.05
ALTHOUGH Liverpool hold a 3-0 lead from the first leg, manager Rafael Benitez
is taking no chances.
He has paid TNS the compliment of naming a very strong 18-man squad to face them
in the return leg of their Champions League first round qualifier on Tuesday night.
Benitez has made just one change from the players named last week, bringing in
Luis Garcia for Milan Baros, and is looking for a solid display and lots of goals
from his side as fitness levels build for the start of the Premiership season
next month.
Meanwhile, Saints' boss Ken McKenna says he has no injury worries ahead of the
game at Wrexham.
"Some of the lads had little niggles, while others were totally drained,"
he said.
"But we know we've just got to dig deep for the return. Our preparations
have been low key, with a little bit of light training.
"We've got to find the same kind of energy levels as we did for last week." |
