SAINTS have strengthened their squad for next season by signing Bangor City midfielder Simon Davies.
The 29-year-old, voted the Welsh Premier player of the season, has joined from Bangor City on a two-year contract. Davies scored 15 goals as he led the line for Bangor's third place in the league last season.
Davies was a member of Manchester United's famous FA Youth Cup winning side of 1992 which included the likes of Ryan Giggs and Nicky Butt.
During his spell at Old Trafford (pictured above), he played in 11 Premiership matches for Manchester United and scored in the Reds' 4-0 Champions League win against Galatasaray in 1994. He then joined Luton Town in 1997 for 150,000.
After moving to Macclesfield Town and then Rochdale, he became manager Peter Davenport's first signing for the Citizens in July 2001.
TNS manager Ken McKenna said: "Simon has a lot of experience behind him and is a class act who can dictate the tempo of a game."
