COYNE THE MAN FOR CWMBRAN
BRIAN Coyne is the new manager of Cwmbran Town.
One of the Welsh Premier's most experienced managers, Coyne was in charge of Newtown since the league's inception in 1992.
He resigned towards the end of last season after a disappointing campaign which ended with club finishing in 10th place.
Coyne told BBC Sport: "Cwmbran are one of the top sides in the league, they always have been.
"They've got a good reputation. It's been a solid club that's been very successful over the years. "It appealed to me as soon as the opportunity came up."
Coyne will be taking over the reigns from Tony Wilcox, who died tragically a heart attack in April.
"I'm not replacing Tony Wilcox," said Coyne. "You can't replace the irreplaceable.
Despite a poor season in the league which saw them finish in ninth place, Cwmbran can look forward to European football this season.
They reached the final of the Welsh Cup, and since winners Barry Town had already qualified for the Champions League, the Crows will play in the Uefa Cup.
