SAINTS gained their first League win of the season - and their first clean sheet - with a five-goal show against Llanfyllin Reserves.
First-teamer Nicky Ward provided the first two goals.
His cross from the left gave Chris Aitken the chance to put TNS ahead after 10 minutes.
Ward's cross again put Justin Perry in for the second and the third came courtesy of some quick thinking from John Toner.
As the Llanfyllin keeper arranged the wall. Toner shot into the corner of the net to give Saints a 3-0 half-time lead.
The second half exploded into life as Justin Perry played a through ball for Nicky Ward to take in his stride, cut inside and finish neatly in the bottom corner only nine seconds after the whistle.
John Toner could have bagged a hat-trick in the second half, twice being denied by the visitors' keeper when in the clear.
Subs Sam Pickup and Phil Turnbull replaced Chris Aitken and Oliver Davies after 61 minutes and, within three minutes, TNS were rewarded with the fifth goal.
A corner from the right dropped to Jamie Evans, whose shot was blocked by the keeper. Alex James's right foot dispatched the rebound into the net to complete the scoring and a good solid performance from the hosts.
Tommy Holmes continued on the fitness trail at the back. Nicky Ward played a fine game although picking up a slight ankle knock near the finish.
