TNS v Port Talbot Town
Welsh Premier League
Sat 14 January 2006: Home - Treflan (2.00pm)
THREE weeks ago a clash between Saints and the Steelmen would have had a top of the table flavour.
But since then Talbot have lost three games in a row and dropped to fifth.
Nevertheless, the South Walians have proved something of a bogy team for TNS in recent times.
They held Saints to a draw at their Victoria Road ground at the end of last season and the beginning of this campaign - and gained a point on their last visit to Treflan.
Considerably strenghtened this season, their main threat comes from 16-goal Rhys Griffiths and a defence that has conceded only the same number.
Saints will wait on the fitness of Tommy Holmes and Martyn Naylor, but their performances against Porthmadog and Newtown show that the replacements are in good heart and more than up to the task.
