Steve Evans blasts a shot off-target during the second-half.
Llanelli AFC 1-0 TNS
FAW Welsh Cup 4th Round
Saturday 4 February 2006: Away - Stebonheath Park
TNS took the Welsh Cup with them for the benefit of the TV cameras, but left it behind after being knocked out at Stebonheath Park.
A fifth minute goal from Cortez Belle was the only score but, in truth, it could have been far worse but for the exploits of goalkeeper Gerard Doherty.
A mis-placed square ball from Nicky Ward was intercepted by Belle, who fed Corbisiero on the left and his cross was fired into the net after a goalmouth melee.
Minutes later Craig Williams was only denied by a great Doherty save and Ivan Nofuentes headed just wide in a torrid opening for the Saints.
Their first real opening on 20 minutes was squandered by Barry Hogan and Mike Wilde was wide from a Graham Evans cross.
Within seconds of the restart, Michael Jackson headed off the line from Belle and Jamie Rewberry narrowly missed the target with a header.
The lively Belle then put in Jacob Mingorance, but Doherty somehow clawed his effort away to safety.
TNS pushed Steve Evans up front as they desperately sought an equaliser but his best effort went wide, while Reds' keeper Duncan Roberts saved from Scott Ruscoe's drive and when one-on-one with sub John Toner.
But full credit to Llanelli for a lively display against a TNS side that never found top gear and must now concentrate on the Welsh Premier and the Challenge Cup.
