FOUR agonising months on the sidelines could come to an end for Alfie Carter on Monday night.
The former AFC Telford striker may start on his comeback trail under the new Llanandras Park floodlights when Saints field a representative side at Presteigne.
The Spar Mid-Wales League outfit invited TNS to be the first team to play under the new lights, which will be switched on by Welsh international boss John Toshack.
With a Welsh Premier commitment in Cwmbran on Friday night, TNS boss Ken McKenna will not risk many of his first-team squad, so the bulk of the side will come from the Under-21s.
But it could be ideal match preparation for Carter, who has not kicked a ball in anger since suffering a knee injury back in October.
The full first-team squad will be at Presteigne and others who may play some part include Steven Beck, who picked up groin injuries in the FAW Premier Cup defeat at Wrexham, Martyn Naylor, who was left out of Friday night's squad to face Connah's Quay and John Toner, who suffered a training injury last week.
Scholarship youths Rob Williams and Mark Davies, who have both made first-team substitute appearances this season, are also likely to figure.
