West Midland Regional Women's Football League: Away
LEAFIELD maintained their 100% League record in an entertaining game at Solihull.
Kelly O'Donnell gave the home side an early lead, to which they could have added before Sally Jones equalised for TNS in the 35th minute.
A good exchange of passing saw Kelly Godfrey retrieve Leafield's advantage shortly before half time.
Within 10 minutes of the restart Kelly O'Donnell had completed yet another hat trick and Leafield, with a comfortable 4-1 lead seemed to be coasting to victory.
Then, in the 65th minute, a mix-up in the Leafield defence saw Lorraine Robinson head past her keeper, and two minutes later Tammy Evans scored with a fine header for TNS direct from a corner.
TNS then surged forward in search of an equaliser, and were only denied by a series of fine saves by Leafield's Netty Manca.
The anxiety for Leafield was relieved when Mandy Ellicott scored their final goal in the 78th minute.
Despite further chances at both ends Leafield held on to their two goal advantage and three valuable league points.
