UEFA Intertoto Cup First Round First Leg
Result from Belle Vue, Rhyl
Bangor City 0-1 Gloria Bistrita (Jula 69)
Attendance: 1,032

BANGOR CITY'S Intertoto Cup campaign got off to a disappointing start on Saturday as they were beaten 1-0 at Rhyl's Belle Vue ground by Romanian outfit Gloria Bistrita.
A second-half goal from Vasile Jula (69) was enough to see off Bangor in this first round, first leg.
The Citizens played well in the first-half to take the opposition into the break with the score tied at 0-0, but a goal against the run of play on the hour-mark gave the Romanians the advantage going into the second leg next week.
Bangor came close to an equaliser when Hunt's free header came back off the crossbar and none of his team-mates could make anything of the rebound.
The game is to be played on Saturday 28 June, in the Romanian region of Transylvania, where Bistrita predict a crowd of around 6,000 will turn out.
