TNS remain top of the Welsh Premier after a 3-2 victory at Afan Lido, their 28th consecutive away League game without defeat.
They now lead by three points with a game in hand, after second-placed Rhyl and third-placed Aberystwyth were both held 1-1 at home.
But after leading 3-0 at half-time, Saints conceded a goal from Lido's John Felton after 55 minutes, and a late effort from substitute Chris Piper made for a nail-biting finish to a scrappy affair.
TNS had gone ahead with a Steven Beck goal after 22 minutes and looked to have put the result beyond doubt with two goals before the break.
Jamie Wood netted from the penalty spot after 39 minutes, before a mass brawl led to the red carding of Lido's Phil Holmes and the sending of Saints' assistant manager John Carroll from the dugout to the stand.
Mike Wilde scored in first half stoppage time to give TNS a comfortable cushion, but in the end they made heavy weather of taking three points home from south Wales against 10-man Lido.

Chasing clubs held
Second-placed Rhyl surrendered two home points after leading Newtown 1-0, Steve Futcher scoring a last minute equaliser for the visitors.
Aberystwyth were also held, needing a second half goal from Glyndwr Hughes to pull back Port Talbot's first-half effort from Craig Lima.
