SHANNON NO SHOW PUZZLE FOR DRUIDS
WP ARCHIVE
NEWI Cefn Druids boss Steve O'Shaughnessy was left in the lurch following the non-appearance of top scorer Aden Shannon before his side's 2-0 Welsh Premier defeat against Rhyl at rain-soaked Plas Kynaston on Saturday.
O'Shaughnessy was forced into a late change after Shannon, who has netted 10 league goals this season, failed to show.
"He'd been training with us in the week and seemed OK but he just didn't turn up," said the Druids chief.
"We tried to contact him on his mobile phone but he'd turned it off. It's disappointing, as he's fourth top scorer in the league and you'd have thought he would want to play."
