AIZLEWOOD LINKS UP WITH CARMARTHEN
WP ARCHIVE
CARMARTHEN Town have appointed Mark Aizlewood as assistant manager to Andrew York, initially for a period of eight weeks.
The former Leeds United, Charlton and Cardiff City player and Welsh international, Aizlewood recently lost his job as a BBC Wales soccer pundit after being charged with attacking female TV presenter Jane Harvey.
Miss Harvey was allegedly assaulted while she was interviewing Aizlewood about complaints over a foreign soccer trip for youngsters.
The trip was backed by the Football Association of Wales Trust, which promotes the development of grassroots soccer in Wales including schools and youth clubs.
At the time, Aizlewood was technical director of the FAW Trust, grooming the nation's soccer stars of the future, a post from which he has subsequently been axed also.
