RACECOURSE GROUND 'UNECONOMIC' - HARRIS
WREXHAM'S Racecourse Ground was the other option for Saints' 'home' Uefa Cup preliminary round tie against Manchester City.
It was reportedly ruled out because the Welsh rugby team are due to play there against Romania the previous evening.
Under Uefa rules, the opposition team must be able to train on the field of play the night before the match is played.
But Harris said TNS declined to stage their game at the Racecourse because "the economics of playing there made it very difficult."
"Under the regulations, the ground at Wrexham would only be able to hold about 10,000 - and Manchester City say they could bring at least 10,000."
Harris has always favoured the Millennium Stadium and it appears that the various complications at Wrexham have forced his hand, in addition to the desire to cash-in on Manchester City's potential travelling support.
