WBA 3-1 TNS Ladies
West Midlands Regional League
Sunday 25 Jan 2004: Away - West Bromwich

ALBION started with all guns blazing and after only two minutes a wonderfully placed cross found Hayley Phillipowsky, who clinically placed the ball into the bottom right hand corner to open the scoring. 1-0.
However, TNS were not to be deterred and showed impressive individual skills to put WBA under pressure.
Great recovery work by Flynn, inspirational work by Lippiatt in midfield, and solid work by Broom in goal, denied their efforts and allowed Albion to continue to attack.
TNS matched WBA and after 25 minutes a defensive mistake cost dear as the visitors equalized.
With half time looming Flynn was now creating chances from the midfield for the strikers, but the half time whistle blew, allowing all, including the spectators, to get their breath.
The second half promised much and did not disappoint as TNS pressed forward again. Jess Lippiatt then found a wonderful pass forward to Hayley Phillipowsky who controlled the ball with two touches and scored.
Both sides then commenced a midfield battle and with the offside rules coming into play, the game lost some of its momentum.
Fresh legs were added to the WBA attack and with the home side having been the more creative through the whole game, the rewards were found with Hayley Phillipowsky completing her hat trick to make the score 3-1.
From the restart Nicki Mears was unlucky not to add a fourth, but the TNS keeper made a good save.
