TOUGH TASK FOR CITY IN PREMIER CUP
Newport reached last season's final.
BANGOR City have been handed a tough assigment in the second round of the FAW Premier Cup.
Their 'reward' for beating Aberystwyth 3-0 in round one is a midweek trip to Spytty Park to face Newport County, who reached the final of the BBC-sponsored competition last season only to lose to The New Saints.
Pick of the round is the clash between Welsh Premier pacesetters Llanelli and Rhyl, who meet at Stebonheath Park, while Welshpool also face a long journey to the New Bridge Meadow to face Haverfordwest County.
The other tie is between Carmarthen Town and Port Talbot, 7-2 victors at Porthmadog in Tuesday.
The draw in full:
Newport County v Bangor City
Haverfordwest County v Welshpool Town
Llanelli v Rhyl
Carmarthen Town v Port Talbot Town.
The ties are to be played on Tuesday 6 November with 7.00pm kick-offs, to decide who meets seeded clubs Cardiff City, Swansea City, Wrexham and TNS in the quarter-finals.
