WILLIAMS RETURNS TO THE TRAETH
Viv Williams, back at The Traeth.
VIV Williams finds himself back in temporary charge of Porthmadog after the sacking of Clayton Blackmore, only a few months after deciding to leave the club.
He stepped down in March after six months as assistant to Osian Roberts, who had been both Williams' assistant and joint manager previously.
Williams began his career as a manager when he took over at Port following the departure of Colin Hawkins during the 1999/2000 season.
After an unbeaten run, he accepted the job on a permanent basis, and appointed Roberts as his assistant.
A successful striker with Bangor, he played in Europe against Atletico Madrid and there was talk at the time that he would join the club from the Spanish capital.
Porthmadog fans will hope that Williams can emulate his previous spell as a caretaker at the club, when his side won their first seven games under his command.
His first test is a League Cup trip to local rivals Llangefni Town on Wednesday night, a competition in which Port have just one point so far.
