Viv Williams fears Manchester-based players may leave.
VIV Williams takes charge of Porthmadog once again in the wake of Clayton Blackmore's sacking, with an away trip to Llangefni, close to his own Anglesey home.
His immediate concern is to get a win on the board, but he also fears a player exodus may result from his predecessor's departure, with most of Blackmore's signings hailing from the Manchester area.
"One thing I must do urgently is check around all the players, perhaps 20 of them, to find out what their circumstances are," says Williams, who has been handed the reins in a caretaker capacity.
"While the transfer window is closed until January, I am unable to sign any new players and we shall have to work within the system whether we like it or not."
Llangefni go into the game on the back of three straight wins and can secure a place in the last eight with victory tonight.
Meanwhile, Caersws can extend their unbeaten run to five games as they continue their defence of the Loosemores trophy at Welshpool. Victory for either side would virtually ensure a quarter-final appearance.
