Blackmore says he will never manage another Premier club.
SACKED Porthmadog boss Clayton Blackmore wants to continue playing in the Welsh Premier, but says he will never manage another domestic club.
Dismissed earlier this week after a poor start to the season at The Traeth, Blackmore blamed "a vocal minority" for his departure and says tensions were growing between Welsh-speaking and non-Welsh speaking players.
"I don't want to finish playing on that note," Blackmore told Gareth Bicknell of the Daily Post. "What I might do is go and train with Altrincham and get fit for January and then see who's looking for players for the last push to the end of the season.
"I might go and play for Neath - my old man used to play for them, so that would be a nice place to finish. And there's also clubs like Airbus and NEWI Cefn Druids near where I live at the moment, so I'll just have to see.
"But I'm not going to take another manager's job in the Welsh Premier. The supporters have got too much to say and the trouble is there's not many of them to say it. So the people at the club think 'we've got to go with it, otherwise we're not going to get any money through the gate'."
Blackmore says that people at Porthmadog who think a new manager will change their fortunes are mistaken.
"They've still only got the same players as I had. In fact they're going to have less players - they're going to lose four or five that I brought in.
"I was just coming back and a few of the lads commute from Manchester and Preston and they've said they were only travelling that far because I was there."
The 43-year-old former Manchester United star also revealed dressing room tensions at The Traeth. "A few of the Welsh speakers were saying they weren't going to speak English and they'll probably be happy now that they're all going to be Welsh speakers, but whether that will be enough to keep them up, I don't know."
