FORMER TNS boss Ken McKenna has parted company with Cammell Laird after only a few
months at the helm. McKenna, who left Park Hall after 10 years as player and manager towards the end of
last season, is the second departure in 24 hours from the Kirklands Stadium after his assistant
Neil Young was appointed manager of Colwyn Bay on Thursday.
McKenna played in the Welsh Premier for Conwy United and Bangor City prior to arriving at TNS
in 1998 and scored 127 goals from 149 league starts,
After playing a part in the club's 2000 title success, he went on to win three Welsh
Premier titles, a Welsh Cup, League Cup and FAW Premier Cup as manager.
But he has been unable to weave his magic at Lairds, who are newly-promoted to the Unibond
League's Premier Division and have managed just one win from their first eight league games.
They have also been knocked out at the first hurdle in the FA Cup and Cheshire Senior Cup.
