LOOSEMORES LEAGUE CUP NEATH FC v THE NEW SAINTS
Tue 25 Nov 2020 / The Gnoll / 7.30pm
Tommy Holmes scores against Neath in the league game at Park Hall.
THE New Saints head to South Wales on Tuesday bidding for a place in the final of the Loosemores League Cup.
In the first game of a two-legged semi-final, TNS will be making their first-ever appearance at The Gnoll, which became Neath's new home in the summer following a move from Llandarcy Park.
But the famous rugby ground has not been a happy hunting ground for the struggling Eagles - they have registered just two wins in the Welsh Premier and one in the League Cup group stages.
They go into this game on the back of a three-match losing streak, but all those games have been away, and they proved redoubtable opponents on home soil in last season's league clash when the Saints struggled to get a 2-2 draw.
The Eagles will be at Park Hall for the second leg on Tuesday 9 December and either Aberystwyth, Bangor City or Caersws await the winners in the showpiece.
