MISSED CHANCES COSTLY FOR TNS LADIES
Stratford Town 2-1 TNS Ladies
West Midlands Regional League
Sunday 28 Mar 2004: Away - Mason's Road

HIGH flying TNS Ladies came down to earth with a bump at relegation-haunted Stratford Town.
Despite getting a perfect start and dominating for long periods, the TNS girls left Mason's Road empty handed when they could have snatched at least a point.
In the ninth minute, Sally Jones sent an inch-perfect cross from the left for Verity Farrell in acres of space to smash home past Stratford keeper Lisa Slowther.
Farrell's corner from the left was headed just wide of the far post by Titchen on the quarter hour and only a fine save with her legs by the home keeper denied Jemma Lloyd after 34 minutes.
Stratford levelled six minutes before the break when Melissa Ball's Low 15-yard drive from the corner of the box was fumbled at the near post by stand-in keeper Gemma Wainwright.
A minute later Tammi Evans fired wide of the Stratford post as the first half finished all square.
A more positive Stratford took the lead when Melissa Ball turned provider for Lisa Taylor who coolly scored from 12 yards.
TNS continued to look dangerous with the lively Jemma Lloyd on the left causing some problems but it was Stratford who should have gone further ahead when Ball hit a penalty straight at Wainwright after Tammi Evans had handled.
