FOUR Crosses lifted the Llansantffraid Village Cup at Treflan, as they defeated Llanwddyn in extra-time.
A bumper crowd saw local side Crosses take a third-minute lead from the penalty spot through Peter Watkins.
But after goals from Steve Jones and Craig Scott in either half from their higher division opponents, Crosses needed a late John Humphreys pile-driver to take the final into extra-time.
The champions-elect of the Montgomeryshire League's Mitsubishi Division had battled back superbly and they clinched the TNS FC-sponsored trophy with a goal in the final minute of the extra period, when Ian Kynaston headed in from a Watkins corner.
Montgomeryshire League secretary Bernie Jones said: "The staging of the event is a testament to the Llansantffraid organisers.
Clubs like TNS may have moved on from village football, but it is pleasing they still support the grass roots by supporting the Village Cup.
They have done a superb job and provided a great stage for the final." FOUR CROSSES: Teagle, Bellingham, J Turner, Oliver, J Humphreys, Watkins, D Humphreys, Beckett, Bebb, G Jones, Kynaston. Subs: N Turner, Whitton, K Jones, B Davies, Higginson.
LLANWDDYN: L Davies, G Roberts, Worthington, G Francis, E Jones, Hancorn, S Jones, M Jones, B Roberts, Scott, Morris. Subs: Cope, D Jones, Williams, Hunter.
