Leighton James
IT HAS been confirmed that Leighton James (above) and Wyndham Evans have left relegated Llanelli for a second time.
The split has clearly been acrimonious, with James apparently informed of the decision by phone.
Llanelli's new player-manager is Neil O'Brien, with another ex-Red, Lee Randall as his assistant.
After three catastrophic seasons since the first departure of Leighton James, Llanelli fans will no doubt be behind the new management team's efforts to put the club back on the right track.
It is reported that player contract negotiations are under way with the possibility of new players being drafted in at Stebonheath Park.
Coaches Mike Hurley and Terry Evans have also left the club to take over the reins at Welsh League Division Three outfit Cwmaman.
Ownership of the club is also uncertain, with chairman Robert Jones negotiating with KF Concept and it is rumoured that both parties will have a stake in the club next season.
