'ALL WELL' AT JENNER PARK
ACCORDING to the Barry & District News, preparations for the new season are going well at Jenner Park, despite the rumours of financial problems.
One Barry Town player who is on contract, told the paper that he is not worried about anything and expected to be paid this week.
He said there is not really a crisis although sometimes wages had been paid late.
This week is make or break for Ramasut, Lloyd, Phillips and French. They will commit themselves to a new contract or leave for other clubs.
Manager Kenny Brown has no option. Not only does he want those four players to show they want to play for Barry Town but registration of players for cup competitions and for travel reasons are absolutely urgent.
Brown is currently short listing players who will line up as his assistant.
At the same time, he has been seen on Sky Sports playing in the Masters tournament. As last season West Ham were beaten in the final, but this time only on penalties, to Charlton.
The Barry boss scored three goals in the four games he played and joked that he may yet be challenging Jamie Moralee for the No 9 shirt.
Shelving any idea of hanging up his boots Kenny will still be a Barry Town player for the coming season.
