RELEGATED Barry Town have made a final effort to save their skins in the Welsh Premier.
The League's secretary general John Deakin confirmed today that the Dragons have submitted a written appeal to the FA of Wales against the decision to allow Airbus UK to ground-share with Conwy United.
Deakin says the FAW will now appoint a three-man panel to consider Barry's appeal.
The former champions claim that the League's board should not have allowed the ground-share to proceed, as necessary work at Conwy's Morfa ground was not completed before the initial round of ground inspections.
Deakin says he will be visiting Conwy shortly to inspect the improvements made by Airbus.
A successful appeal might raise the spectre of a 19-club league, as Deakin confirms that Airbus complied with the rules in every respect.
