THE 2003/4 season ended on a high, with the tightest championship race for years reflecting in gate receipts.
Overall, the Welsh Premier saw an increase in attendances of nearly 6%, with the average club gate reaching 300 for the first time.
Biggest increase was at Belle Vue, where Rhyl's exploits have caught the imagination of the public.
Average gate was 586 - an increase of 94.10% - with a high of 2,741 for the visit of TNS on Easter Sunday, just five short of the league record.
The other significant improvement was at the New Bridge Meadow, where Haverfordwest County's best ever season saw an average of 422 fans watch their progress into a Uefa Cup slot, nearly 63% up on last year.
