TNS STILL HEAD LEAGUE CUP GROUP
THE New Saints still head their Loosemores League Cup group despite a win for Gap Connah's Quay at Prestatyn Town on Tuesday night.
John Toner scored in the Saints' League Cup win on Deeside.
Nomads won 1-0 with a first-half goal from Andy Alston to go level on points with TNS, who have a superior goal difference and have played one game less.
TNS return to League Cup action next Tuesday when they host Prestatyn.
Elsewhere, Rhyl went down to a surprise 2-1 home defeat at the hands of Welshpool Town, goals for Steve Rogers and Paul Roberts both resulting from errors by second-string keeper Paul Pritchard.
Newtown won 2-0 at NEWI Cefn Druids courtesy of goals from Stuart Vernon and Richard Williams-Cook.
Holders Llanelli were 4-1 winners at Port Talbot, while Bangor City beat Porthmadog 3-0 at Farrar Road.
