TWO YEARS SINCE 11-0 LEAGUE CUP WIN
TWO years ago today, TNS equalled their highest-ever score in a competitive match when they beat Airbus UK 11-0 in a League Cup game at Treflan.
Nicky Ward, Michael Wilde and John Toner all hit hat-tricks as a side of mainly academy youngsters from the Wingmakers was totally outclassed.
The Saints were far from flattered and could have scored 20 goals, prompting league secretary John Deakin to write to the visitors for an explanation.
TNS had previously won by an 11-0 scoreline in a Welsh Cup third round tie against Penrhiwfer in November 2004.
