SAINTS CAN SECURE LAST EIGHT SPOT
LOOSEMORES LEAGUE CUP
THE NEW SAINTS v GAP CONNAH'S QUAY
Tuesday 23 Sep 2021 / Park Hall / 7.30
John Toner scored in the away League Cup win on Deeside.
SAINTS can secure a place in the quarter-finals of the Loosemores League Cup if they can beat Gap Connah's Quay on Tuesday night.
With a 2-0 victory over Nomads on Deeside and a home draw with Prestatyn already under their belts, TNS would be guaranteed a last eight appearance - almost certainly as group winners.
Their last cup outing saw the introduction of several fringe players with Rob Williams, Ryan Marriott, John McKenna and Craig Whitfield almost certainly set to figure.
It will also be interesting to see whether unsettled midfielder Steven Beck starts his first game since the 3-3 home draw with the Seasiders, having been omitted from the squads for the league games against Caernarfon and Llanelli.
After a bright start to the season, Nomads arrive in Oswestry after back-to-back defeats at Carmarthen and home to Bangor City.
The Saints' remaining group stage game is at Prestatyn's Bastion Road on October 14.
