Cant help but think that if the second leg is to be played in Cardiff that it will be a bit of a damp squib. If (and it is an IF) City have the tie in the bag then a day off work to drive to Cardiff to see the second leg is unliklely to pull us in.

I understand the dilemma you face regarding grounds- but if there is only 5-7000 in a 70,000 stadium ( my prediction) then any profit you are looking to make out of the tie will disapear to the Welsh FA. There is absolutely no way City are going to bring 30,000.

We struggle to get 15000 during the early rounds of the League Cup at home- and didnt even sell out against Liverpool in the FA Cup at Home. August is a bad month also as a lot of folks are away on Holiday-

You'd be better off playing it at Crewe Alex or Stoke City- but of course they're not in Wales- and I guess a Welsh ground is important to you.

Still looking forward to it though.

Regards

The Welsh FA cannot make money out of the Millenium stadium for this fixture as it is a private company who leases their ground out.
I think we (City) would easily send 48,000 fans to Caerdydd; and interest from people in Wales is at a paramount. This game will be huge in every possible way.

We could easily send 48,000? We havent had a gate like that since 1985.

TNS had 282 for their last game of the season.
We will sell about 5k.

Cardiff was the wrong choice, and if Mike Harris wants to raise the profile of the LOW -he's going about it the wrong way. No one will be interested in the fixture as the Premiership will be underway by then.

Whether or not Cardiff is the right choice, the tie MUST be played in Wales - Uefa regulations.

Depends on the result at Eastlands. If TNS forced a draw or just a 1-0 defeat (I really don't see them winning) then there could be an excellent turnout. Even then I wouldn't expect City to take more than 10,000 tops.

We don't always sell all our tcikets to long distance prem fixtures contrary to popular belief.

If City win by 3 or 4 then there will be little interest and 2,000 or 3,000 might go for the experience of seeing City at the Millenium.

I'll be there, i'm sure I could shift 100 tickets easily to family and friends.

I've got plenty of people interested too, but the ticket price will need to be right to get the numbers up based on friends and family sales and sales to general Welsh Football fans rather than just diehard TNS'ers.

We haven't had a gate that large since Hillsborough and the new regulations, bare in mind the mid-80s were not so good for City fans; nor was the mid-90s but now we have ambition and promise...

I'm sure we can rise to that challenge, and paint the draig goch stadiwm blue...

It would be, but none of the friends have kids, so looks to me like 20each which is a bit too steep for casual interest.

I'll be there, but it looks like they are off to the rugby instead

As of 12 noon Saturday it's still possible to buy 10 tickets from http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/cgi/asp_events/byid.asp?event_id=120036E1C66A442D&category;=Sport
Otherwise, it's still cheaper to buy one 10 and one 5 ticket and go on your own!

Ticket sales are good but Thursday night's result will be crucial to what the Cardiff attendance will be.
Kevin Keegan reckoned on Friday night that City would bring thousands in any event as this is their first chance to go to Cardiff.
