Having watched TNS v 'conference'Shrewsbury yesterday, where I thought the team held its own for two thirds of the match (defence OK, midfield not bad -missed Brabins bite), would it not be prudent to adopt a more frugal approach to our 'Premiership' opponents next month and play a 5-5-0 formation.
By containing the opposition with ten men behind the ball a 2-0 defeat would keep the second leg alive for TV and supporters alike, then and only then unleash the deadly duo up front.

Alternatively we could always ask Kevin if he'd be a mate and maybe give us a three goal start.

We desperately need strikers who can get the ball on target.
Looks like we will have to stick with what we've got as the transfer window comes to an end and hope they hit form sooner rather than later.
Perry, Ruscoe, Toner and Wilde managed 32 between them last term, while Graham Evans hit 23 for Caersws.

No disrespect to our existing strikers, we all know scoring goals is the 'hard' bit, and I'm sure they will do the business in LOW games.
But if the team is to progress to the next level (Champions league group stages) and they understandably do not want to waste money on transfer fees, then surely the answer lies at Chelsea.
As I understood it the twinning with Chelsea was aimed at bringing top young talent on loan to the club so they could cut their teeth in a competitive league, or has Abramovich's millions dispensed with the need for natural youth progression.

As for Graham Evans, I believe coaxing the best players from other LOW teams causing deep resentment and in turn devalues the league - just ask Rhyl fans.

I wasn't suggesting we poach Graham Evans (who is currently injured), just illustrating where the problem lies.

Couple of interesting points in the media this week:

A recent link-up will see Chelsea send some of their young players to NZ side Kingz who play in the Australian National League......(but not the Welsh Premier)

Also Leicester's Welsh international midfielder Matt Jones has turned down a move to Notts Forest who offered him 950 per week - not necessarily excessive wages being paid in Div One then.

I think at least 950 a week is -or was - on offer in the WP.
Maybe the wages have come down in line with the situation in the English leagues.

6-0 up at Oldham. Two different sets of players in each half.
The "probable 1st XI" scored 5.
The "possibles" scored 1. Wanchope is ready for you...
