Super Saints shoot down Airbus
TNS readily side-stepped a potential banana skin with a comprehensive victory at The Airfield.
Marc Lloyd Williams led the way with a hat-trick as Saints turned on the style to record their sixth consecutive Welsh Premier win.
Lloyd Williams opening the scoring after nine minutes when his header from a short corner was bundled over the line via a defender's hand from a well-worked short corner with Scott Ruscoe and Alfie Carter both going close as TNS pressured their hosts.
Chris King notched a rare goal on 20 minutes when he pounced in the six-yard box after Alfie Carter had missed Jamie Wood's left-wing cross.
Eight minutes before the break, the best move of the night was sparked by Scott Ruscoe deep in his own half and maintained by Carter's surging run which ended with a clinical finish from Lloyd Williams.
TNS would have been out of sight by the break if a Jiws' shot had been inches the other side of a post and substitute John Toner nearly added a fourth immediately on the restart when he fired over from a Steve Evans knock-down.
Keeper Gerard Doherty might as well have stayed at home, although in the only Airbus attack of note, Leigh Williams missed a sitter after being put in by Gareth Owen and Kevin Leech.
But normal service was resumed moments later as Steve Evans fed Steve Beck who cut in from the edge of the box to angle his shot past the hapless Paul Whitfield.
Sub John Toner twice went close before Lloyd Williams finished off the night's work, cleverly rounding Whitfield to lob into an empty net after being put in by King.
There's a long way to go, but on this form the Saints will take some stopping.
