JEKYLL AND HYDE LLANELLI SALVAGE A POINT
LLANELLI showed a Jekyll and Hyde tendency in a game that really should have been won.
In the first half, the home team were much the better side and were two up by the break thanks to a fine display of finishing by Chris Watkins.
The first was thanks to a poor clearance in the 12th minute, when Watkins pounced and shot fiercely into the net.
The second came after 23 minutes, when Adie Harris set off on a run, and set up Watkins for a 30-yard shot, one of the best goals seen at Stebbonheath Park this season.
After the break, TNS stepped up a gear, encouranged by Llanelli's intent to sit back and defend their lead. Only four minutes after the break, a defensive mistake left Powell with a simple heading opportunity with the keeper well out of position.
It took saints another 34 minutes to get back on level terms, as Llanelli started to crumble at the back, although Ken McKenna looked offside as he collected the ball in front of goal for a simple chance.
Three minutes later, TNS took the lead, when a corner wasn't cleared by the Llanelli defence and the ball fell to Holmes, who scored.
With time ebbing away, the hard working Adie Harris salvaged a point, scoring from a snap shot from the rebound after Hill had gone close.
