BATTLING TNS SECURE A DRAW
After a 2-2 draw, Total Network Solutions will travel to Estonia for next week's second leg of their Champions League encounter with Levadia Maardu in good heart.
TNS fell behind twice in an exciting second half at Wrexham's Racecourse ground, but quickly hit back each time.
It was 0-0 at half-time, but last year's top scorer John Toner twice came close to giving the home side the lead. The game came alive five minutes into the second half when 12-times capped Estonian international Sergei Bragin - who had often looked dangerous from set pieces - fired home from 20 metres when TNS failed to clear a corner.
Levadia, who had also had a shot cleared from the line in the first half, might have felt they could sit back on their lead.
They were rocked when TNS drew level within eight minutes, though, ex-Wrexham apprentice Tony Wright scoring the equaliser.
Wright then came close to giving the home side the lead as the League of Wales-champions looked to step up a gear.
The Estonians thought they had sealed victory in the 85th minute though, when Andrei Krasnopjorov put them 2-1 in front.
They had barely finished celebrating when John Toner struck a dramatic equaliser to prove the Welsh team's battling qualities.
TNS manager Andy Cale said: "The two equalisers show we've got something about us.
"We're very encouraged and the tie is very much alive."
