McKENNA BRACE SEALS FINAL DAY WIN
INJURY-hit TNS booked a Premier Cup place for next season after grabbing a determined victory over their close rivals, thanks to two second-half goals from Ken McKenna.
After coming on as substitute, the striker broke the stalemate on 67 minutes when he steered his low shot into the corner of the net after the home defence had failed to clear Anthony Wright's ball into the box.
And the 40-year old settled the issue deep into injury-time when he steadied himself at the left post before lifting the ball into the far corner of the net.
For long spells there was little to choose between the sides in a tense affair in which breezy conditions dominated proceedings.
Needing a win themselves, County rarely looked likely to find a way back against a resolute Saints, who looked more likely to make the breakthrough.
