TAYLOR GOAL EARNS THE SPOILS
A 20TH minute goal from Chris Taylor proved enough to earn TNS the points at Rhyl
The central defender headed in after Steve Anthrobus had challenged keeper Steve Skupski from Chris King's right wing corner.
Despite holding the upper hand in the first half, the Saints failed to add to the tally with Anthrobus and John Leah firing well over in an encounter of few clear-cut chances.
Steve Evans had a headed effort saved after the break from another corner but the visitors - looking for their ninth successive league win - struggled to maintain their earlier momentum as Rhyl had a greater share of the second period.
With several former TNS players in their ranks, the Seasiders began to press with increased urgency late on with Gerard Doherty called into one good save.
But their efforts drew a blank against a well-marshalled rearguard that has conceded just five goals in 15 league outings this term.
