LIGHTS GO OUT FOR OSWESTRY
TREFLAN'S largest gate of the season turned up for the local derby with Oswestry.
But they didn't see an awful lot of the game, the majority of which was played in the gloom following a partial floodlight failure midway through the first half.
The lights came back on as full time approached, providing a clear sight of goal for Gary Brabin to snatch a somewhat undeserved winner three minutes into injury time.
Oswestry belied their League status with a battling and well organised defensive performance, which held out until 51 minutes. John Toner made progress down the right flank and his pass was netted from eight yards by home skipper, Gary Brabin.
A dreadful back pass from TNS' Robbie Wood let in Tony Draper for a simple tap in to put Oswestry on level terms five minutes later.
And although TNS huffed and puffed it looked likely that they would have to settle for a draw until Brabin's stunning 20-yard shot broke the visitors hearts anf gave TNS the three points.
