TNS AGAIN FALL AT BARRY HURDLE
HOLDERS Barry Town cruised into the semi-finals of the Welsh Cup with a majestic clear cut victory over TNS at Jenner Park in a repeat of last season's final.
The Dragons were far more clinical than their hosts and deservedly went through after a somewhat one-sided clash in front of a 600 strong crowd.
It took a while to break the TNS resistance and the home supporters were made to wait until the 36th minute for the opening goal.
Mike Flynn won the ball in midfield when he beat Ricky Evans and broke quickly only to be pulled down by Tim Alexander.
The referee pointed to the spot and fop scorer Jamie Moralee stepped up to blast the ball into the back of the net as the goalkeeper dived the wrong way.
Moralee seems to be on the scoresheet all the time these days and his goal helped to celebrate his award of League of Wales Player of the Month for February.
Barry increased their advantage with a goal by Jamie Jenkins who was given a simple close range opportunity when Jon French crossed the ball into the box after 63 minutes.
Four minutes later, the contest was all over - Barry scored their third when Lee Phillips latched on to a Dave Toomey flick.
TNS almost scored a consolation goal but Scott Ruscoe was denied.
