SUBSTITUTE Tommy Morgan netted twice as rampant LIansantffraid signed off their last home game of the season in style.
Morgan, being rested because of a groin injury pounced just moments after coming on as a 72nd minute sub before sealing victory as the Saints moved towards mid-table in the League of Wales.
Despite carving several good chances it needed an own goal to provide the Powys hosts with an interval lead when Garry Evans' cross from the byline was turned into his net by defender Jim Smith.
Basement strugglers Rhyl, who have often been the scourge of the Saints in past seasons, had a golden chance to level eight minutes into the second half, when Alan Bickerstaff fired narrowly wide with only keeper Andy Mulliner to beat.
That proved costly as the Powys men increased their margin four minutes later with Mike Brown releasing John Whelan on the right amid claims for offside and his cross was hammered home by Ian Evans.
Rhyl's Scott Millington saw a good chance blocked by Mulliner's legs while at the other end it needed a fine double save from keeper Tony Walsh to foil Garry Evans and Tim Nunnerley as chances flowed.
The Saints went further ahead when Morgan drilled home a Whelan cross at the second attempt on 77 minutes but the Seasiders pulled a goal back when Millington cashed in on a defensive mix-up eight minutes from time.
But any thoughts of a revival were soon dashed when Morgan pounced for his second goal before Nunnerley completed the tally after his first attempt had been blocked.
