FRUSTRATING DRAW SEQUENCE CONTINUES
Saints' frustrating start to the season continued after being locked in another draw with Cemaes Ynys Mon.
TNS again failed to find the winning formula against a disrupted Cemaes side that was forced to play defender Ian Murphy in goal.
But any thoughts that the stand-in keeper might be vulnerable were soon dispelled when Adrian Jones's curling effort was superbly tipped over the bar in the 13th minute.
The hosts struggled to sustain any serious pressure but did make the breakthrough in the 40th minute, when Mike Maloney was ruled to have handled Jones's cross and Stuart Pickthall converted the penalty.
Although Gary Powell struck the woodwork twice with angled strikes either side of the break, Saints failed to build on their lead.
And Cemaes stuck to their task to be rewarded on the hour, when Maloney's cross from the left was tucked in by Kevin Hagan, who atoned for a glaring miss in the first half.
