Late strike keeps Inter top

League leaders Inter Cardiff left it late to chalk up their eighth win of the season at Llansantffraid.
The Saints, beset by injury and suspensions, came within an ace of gaining a point from the league leaders with a fighting display on Saturday.
Striker Andy Oakley missed a chance to give the Saint’s the lead in the first minute as his side had the better of the opening exchanges.
Billy Morris and Andy Edwards also went close, but the half ended with the scoreline blank.
The second period saw Inter-Cardiff get on top and the Saints’ had to survive some heavy pressure in order to keep their goal intact.
Their efforts looked set to be rewarded until two minutes from the end , when a ball crossed from the right hand side was slotted home by striker Paul Evans to give his side the points.
