Injury time winner saves Aber

Aberystwyth snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at Llansantffraid.
It’s a match Saint’s manager Graham Breeze will want to forget. Things started well enough for his side when a David Williams free-kick was headed into his own net by Aber midfielder Anthony Thomas on 27 minutes.
Then five minutes later the Saint’s were reduced to 10 men when striker Steve Clifford was sent off for his second bookable offence.
Llansantffraid then had assistant manager Ian Clarke taken to hospital with a broken collarbone but held Aber at bay until the last minutes when following three goal line clearances Lee Randle forced in the equaliser.
If that wasn’t enough, Kevin Morrison rubbed more salt in the wound by firing the winner three minutes into injury time after Randle had robbed defender Graham Ellis on the edge of the penalty area.
