REVIVAL CONTINUES AGAINST CONWY
BUOYANT Llansantffraid maintained their revival in the Konica League of Wales with a convincing three-goal win over Conwy.
The Saints, who have now won on five of their last six league outings, took a 27th minute lead when lan Evans netted from close range after Tommy Morgan pulled the ball back from the bye-line following a surging run into the box.
Both sides battled hard in the heavy mud but it was the hosts who looked most dangerous and stretched their lead on 61 minutes when Simon Abercrombie crossed for Morgan whose diving header beat keeper Neil Griffiths.
Saints sealed victory 16 minutes from time when Morgan grabbed his second goal after forcing the ball over the line following Kevin O'Neill's right wing cross.
Conwy, who have now slipped below Llansantffraid in the table, struggled to find a way through a determined defence although Andy Harper and Craig Crawford sent efforts narrowly wide.
