SAINTS STAY ON REVIVAL PATH
IN-FORM Llansantffraid maintained their Konica League revival with a hard-fought goalless draw at Mold.
Although a share of the spoils seemed a fair outcome, the Saints carved enough chances in the windswept conditions to have come away with all three points.
Top scorer Tommy Morgan was the chief culprit early on, firing inches wide with just keeper Wayne Kinnear to beat. The front runner also went close with another effort as the visitors often caught the Mold defence on the break.
Strike partner Kevin O'Neill was out through three times only to be denied by good saves from Kinnear on each occasion.
At the other end, Saints' keeper Andy Mulliner blocked efforts from Carl Smythe and Alan McMahon while ex-Wrexham youngster Tony Merola provided the biggest threat after appearing as a substitute late on.
